About Us

Michael is the founder of AV3 Media. He is a Master member of the British Institute of Videography and a member of The Guild of Television Cameramen. Initially starting his career as a cameraman, he now manages the ever-growing team at AV3 Media. As Executive Producer, he oversees all productions, from simple web videos to multi-part primetime TV series. He is usually your initial contact, and his vast experience in the TV/video production business guarantees your production will succeed.
Michael has developed a vast range of TV productions, from one-off documentaries to large-scale TV series. A notable achievement is the production of ‘Cheap Irish Homes’, a major lifestyle tv series that he developed and continues to produce for RTE 1. It’s now in its fifth season, and audience figures keep on growing and growing. Following the success of ‘Cheap Irish Homes’, Michael developed the breakaway hit ‘Cheap European Homes’ TV series, filmed in Spain, Portugal and France. In addition, AV3 recently moved into music programming, and Michael developed ‘The Ballycotton Sessions’, a unique music series featuring some of Ireland’s most well-known and loved artists. He has built AV3 into one of the leading production companies in Ireland and wants to build on this success. Away from video production, Michael has a tremendous interest in cars and motorsport and likes to tell stories about his visits to the famous F1 tracks of Monza and Monaco. As long as we know him, he has always driven a BMW 5-series. Michael is also an accomplished photographer; his work has been featured in many newspapers and magazines. The best part of working at AV3 is that he gets to travel a lot, and a trip to film in Asia is currently in the planning stages. Michael is hard-working and thorough, very approachable and dedicated to creating perfection in every project that AV3 produces. His choice of coffee is a cappuccino.

Rob Irvine joined AV3 Media in 2018. He is a highly experienced senior editor and motion graphics expert, and leads our post-production team here in AV3. He works on all our broadcast projects as well as high-end corporate productions. Recent broadcast credits include ‘Cheap Irish Homes’, ‘Cheap European Homes’, and the highly acclaimed ‘The Ballycotton Sessions’. Rob also works on various productions for our corporate clients, who can expect his total dedication to production excellence. His choice of coffee is actually a tea – Barrys Tea.

Patrick Bahner joined AV3 Media in April 2019. He is a highly talented camera operator and video editor and works at all production levels, from simple web-based videos to large-scale TV productions.
Patrick has also worked as an assistant producer on our new hit ‘Cheap European Homes’ TV show. Originally from Germany, he now calls Ireland his home. With AV3, he has often been back to mainland Europe, filming in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Estonia. Patrick is a perfectionist and highly dependable, ensuring that all the productions he works on achieve their goals. His favourite coffee is Barry’s Tea, which he regularly mails back to his family in Germany.

Dominique Carrara is the creative director at AV3 Media and is responsible for developing our TV commercials department. Dominique is originally from France and has worked for the top advertising agencies in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. He has also worked as a director on many film and TV projects, including the Netflix hit ‘Marseilles’ starring Gerard Depardieu

Chunlan Tao recently joined the team at AV3 Media. As office manager, she looks after the administration and helps the camera and post-production departments run smoothly. Her favourite coffee is actually green tea.

Stephanie Lynch is the casting and production manager for AV3’s TV production department. Once we get commissioned by a broadcaster, Stephanie casts the participants and manages the project from start to finish, looking after all the logistics of the various filming sessions. Her favourite coffee is actually Barry’s Tea.

Paul has worked in communication and media for over 20 years, continually developing his expertise in film production and graphic design. He specialises in pharmaceutical and healthcare communications and has produced many films, including educational videos for healthcare professionals and patients, disease awareness campaigns, interviews, and documentaries. He also works in other industries, including financial services, construction, bio-energy and food technology. Paul’s company has partnered almost exclusively with AV3 for over a decade. Paul’s experience and creativity, combined with AV3’s award-winning production capability, have resulted in the delivery of video solutions that are powerful, effective and engaging. Paul is a keen musician, having played drums in many bands for over 30 years, and enjoys travelling the world with his wife and kids. He is also a fan of Chelsea FC, regularly attending matches with his son

Monty joined AV3 in 2016. He is a highly experienced video editor who loves working in our main edit suite. He’s originally from CATalonia in Spain but now regards Ireland as his home. There is really only one word to describe his work – PURR-FECT. He loves Disney movies, and his favourite character is Mickey Mouse. His favourite coffee is a CATochino.
